The Appetizer-Setting Description

The setting of this story takes place over a couple days, in early fall. I know it is in fall, because the leaves are changing, and falling to the ground, which usually happens in early fall. It probably is in the suburbs because in the city people don't usually have yards, and in the country, kids can't usually walk down the street to rake people's yards. A lot of the "talking" takes place on the front porch of the crazy man's house. The crazy man is inside his house most of the time.
